Good luck understanding what I'm about to describe. I'm not a very visual person. On top of that, I have no idea whether this sort of app is totally commonplace or completely unheard of.

Often, people have a preexisting list of <b>Items</b> that they need to prioritize. The Items may be associated with <b>Categories</b> (and Subcategories, etc.). The process of prioritization may be associated with a <b>Metric</b>. A natural interface would be some kind of adaptive spreadsheet designer in which you could drag Items out of the <b>List</b> into the <b>PriorityQueue</b> while the Metrics are automatically adjusted. An item domain would be primarily defined by two things: its <b>Category Policy</b> and its <b>Metric Policy</b>.

Ok, that's a lot of theoretical mumbo-jumbo. Let me give several possible scenarios.

Example 1: Employee time

You are a manager. You are given a set of tasks; it's your job to turn them into instructions for your team. You do so by dragging tasks
