Note: I'm not a gamer. I will play Guitar Hero and Gears of War when my roommates want some competition, but I'm buying mostly for the MCX features. My setup in a nutshell is 7.1 speakers with a large front projection screen.

1. Can you use the HDMI and VGA ports simultaneously? (i.e. without unplugging; I don't expect actual multi-monitor output) If so, how easy is it to switch which output is active?
2. How well does MCX streaming uncompressed audio (for codecs the XBox doesn't support) work? I'm sure perf is fine...wondering more about how well the metadata is preserved and how good the UI integration is.
3. Does the HDMI output 7.1 audio? I know it won't do DD+/TrueHD, which is fine. But I've seen conflicting reports on whether it does 8ch PCM.
4. Are there plans to eventually support MPEG4 ASP and H264 for MCX streaming? I understand the new codecs being pushed out in May are only for Live (i.e. paid downloads).
5. Are there plans to eventually support 24fps output for HD DVDs? It seems dumb to add 3:2 judder to what's on disc, just because that's how tubes did it 50 years ago. I'll bet the vast majority of HD DVD owners have a digital TV. Should be lower CPU load, too.
6. Are there plans to improve the scaling of DVDs? (http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2088533,00.asp∞)
