Mashed potatoes: My preferred ratio
5lb potatoes, unpeeled
16oz sour cream
8oz cream cheese
2/3 bunch chives
salt & pepper to taste (circa 1 tbsp / 2 tbsp)
This combo works better for my pallet than butter or milk varieties: sour cream & cream cheese add lots of flavor without making the mixture oily or runny in the slightest. So there. Add fresh garlic if you feel you need more punch.
