Since I'm in the middle of tackling similar problems of data organization, I thought I'd post my preliminary plan:

Thumbdrive:
password hash∞
files >1MB to transfer between machines
global folder "to be sorted"
every command-line tool I've ever accumulated + path strings
portable Firefox∞ (todo)
bootable WinPE or similar low-level utility (todo)

Personal Wiki:
scratchpads
workspace for writings
simple logs / tables
collected writings (exact level of overlap w/ forums, blogs, and feature articles TBD)
bookmarks (del.icio.us looks slick, will investigate)
to-do list (may move to Exchange)

Other hosted (public) websites:
Avisynth wiki + related sites et al.
Calendar, extracted periodically from Outlook/Exchange
Some private forums

Exchange server:
all email ever + categories + rules + search folders
calendar & appointments (shared with select friends/family)
RSS feeds via newsgator (TBD)
to-do list??

Sharepoint:
documents to be edited by many people -> Word docs w/ markup turned on
tabular data from wiki that need calcs -> Excel spreadsheets (todo)
[undecided whether to use its CMS / organization features for anything]

Blog:
writings related to work
comments on coworker blogs
other writings I'd normally post as a new Ars thread...? (TBD)

Flikr:
photos
home movies
messaging / collaboration with family not on Exchange server

Not centralized: (but hopefully still indexed by local software)
almost all pre-2003 documents
all code not part of a group project
music collection (may look into streaming server, later)
video collection
collection of funny pics / SWFs / screenshots / etc. (may put on Flikr)
pro A/V projects, compositions, arrangements, etc. except as posted to Usenet ages ago
