Minor grammar/punctuation in italics; content and organization in {quote}s. You make the same few mistakes often so I won't dwell on them beyond the introduction...more important to get the big picture straightened out.

re: H@ on Services
We at Ars have never been about that and never will
as Network Service, if an exploit is discovered, the worst
-> as a Network Service, because if an exploit is discovered the worst
The next common context is Local Service.
I think it would make more sense to list them in an order like Local System - Local Service - Network Service (most to least privileges), rewording the transitions of course.

securiac
Not a word, sadly. (twice)

to the laid back professional who is in a low risk demographic anyway so doesn't see the need
Due to the potential for remote attack and limited functionality to an end user, Alerter is disabled by default in XP SP2.
This surprised me -- as a new user of XP (via SP2 slipstreamed) I immediately dashed off to enable it since debugging BSODs might be important. However, I found it set to Automatic. So...you sure? Maybe only in Home?
so finally, NAT users won't have to use PASV!
My knowledge of networking is intermediate at best...makes your conclusion is intriguing but mysterious. The majority of our audience is even less likely to make the mental leap. Long way of saying "please insert a sentence or two on how/why."
Provides both Windows Firewall (SP2+) and ICS. If the service is not running, neither feature will be available.
Mention where the Firewall and ICS are administered. You do this for other services, and it's good to know that they can be turned off independently despite sharing a service.

This is "6to4" (RFC 3056), it allows...This service provides

Um, I'm tired. Note to self: start at Remote Registry.

Jargon to define in each's context: SUS, COM (interpret for non-devs), IIS (brief overview, or list its LAMP counterparts, or something), RADIUS, CAL, DSDM, RPC (you talk about it later, so say so), named pipes, Socks.
